Pull requests stop waiting.

Every stalled review is waiting on one person, and it is not always the reviewer. Review Baton works out who, nudges them in the pull request’s own Slack thread, and leaves everyone else alone.

01

One thread per pull request. Not one channel.

The root message holds the state of the review. Every event lands underneath it, where the conversation already is — your workspace does not grow a channel per branch.

It knows whose turn it is.

Most bots ping every reviewer on a timer. Review Baton works out who actually holds the baton, and reminds only them.

Waiting on reviewers

Approvals are missing and nothing blocks the author. Only reviewers who have not approved yet get the nudge.

@sam, friendly reminder to review — waiting for your approve (1 / 2)

Waiting on the author

Changes requested, unresolved discussions or a failing build. Reviewers hear nothing until the author moves.

@dmitry, there are unresolved discussions (3) — please reply or resolve them

Nobody’s turn

Approved, merged, still a draft, or no reviewers assigned. Silence is the correct output, and you get it.

03

A reminder bot earns its place by how rarely it speaks.

Every rule below is on by default. You will not spend the first week teaching it to be quiet.

Quiet hours

Nothing between 20:00 and 09:00, in each person’s own timezone rather than yours.

Non-working days

Weekends are off out of the box. Teams that ship on Sunday can say so.

Vacation and snooze

A person goes quiet without the review going quiet — the baton moves on.

Cooldown

Reminded once, then left alone for four hours. Author and reviewer are counted apart.

04

$49 a month. That is the entire price list.

Per-seat pricing charges you for hiring. A thirty-person team pays us $49; on a typical per-seat plan the same team pays around $250.

Repositories, channels and people are unlimited because metering them would cost more to build than it would ever return.
